      Goldman Sachs Interview Tips

      Tips for how to prepare for your interviews with Goldman Sachs, including HireVue and Superdays.

      Tips for Preparing for HireVue Interviews:

      What is HireVue? HireVue is a video tool Goldman Sachs uses for video interviews. This is often considered an informal "screener" interview which is used to determine your qualifications for the next round. HireVue will provide you with questions and prompts selected by the Goldman Sachs team and you'll record yourself responding to the question in the HireVue tool. Each response is recorded in full as one continuous answer. Your collection of responses acts as your interview submission.! 

      🚨 Careful: Each question often only has 3 "tries" or chances for you to record an answer, so be sure to prepare beforehand!

      General tips:

      • Practice beforehand. 
      • Don't read off of a script
      • If you fumble, try to recover!

      Tips for Preparing for Superdays:

      What is a superday? A superday is a collection of interviews a candidate completes in a single day or weekend, often with multiple individuals, departments, and sessions. These days are intentionally long, stressful, and dense - the goal is to see how you perform in a higher-stakes environment! These are often done on-site in a firm's office, or in an offsite venue such as a hotel conference hall, but they may also be virtual. For many firms, this is the final round of internship interviews. Questions often include a mix of behavioral and technical questions.

      General tips:

      • Research Beforehand: Do as much prep as you can about the firm and any individuals with whom you'll be meeting (see Goldman-specific research tips below! 👇)
      • Stay Positive: Don't psych yourself out: one bad session won't necessarily ruin your chances of getting an offer!
