      Goldman Sachs Discovery Series: Resume Upskilling

      This article will summarize the steps participants should take to optimize their resumes in advance of applying to future GS roles.

      Welcome to the program! The entire team here at hellohive along with our friends at Goldman Sachs are so excited to help you with your future applications into the firm. At the end of this experience, you'll get:

      1. A perfectly-formatted, 1-page resume in a template preferred by Goldman Sachs
      2. Insight into how to put your best foot forward during Goldman Sachs' applications, interviews, and beyond

       

      Step 1: CREATE YOUR HIVE ACCOUNT
      A select group of Goldman Sachs applicants who were not selected for recent roles (that's you!) have been invited to join this cohort to optimize their resumes in advance of future applications. Learn more about why Goldman Sachs prefers the hellohive resume template here and get a head-start on creating your Hive profile and resume here!

       

      • 📱 Register for the Hive platform to create your profile! If you'd like to begin building your resume in Level 1, feel free, but be sure to read the below, to ensure you know how to best present yourself on paper when you apply for Goldman Sachs.

      • ⚡️ Hive Hack: You can find a step-by-step guide to building the best resume possible here. If you follow this guide thoroughly you're guaranteed to have a great resume for your application!

      • ⭐️ How did you hear about us? Make sure that you select “Other Source” and write in “Goldman Sachs Upskilling - Summer 2024” in this section.

      Step 2: RESUME CREATION & OPTIMIZATION


      Using the hellohive platform, you'll complete the Hive5 Process to develop your perfect 1-page resume in advance of Goldman Sachs' applications opening! Be sure to utilize our Early Career Resume Template as you build your resume. Once you've created your profile, you can go to "Resume & Profile" -> "Preferences" -> "Early Career Resume Template" and click "Position that requires 1-4 years of full-time work experience" (Note that this feature is NOT available if you graduated less than 6 months ago!). This will switch your resume into our early career template and will move your experience section to the top! Create an account here!


      Step 3: REVIEW GOLDMAN'S SKILL-SET DISCOVERY ARTICLE

      Review this article, which focuses on the Controllers team at GS, including what KPIs, skills, and best practices are involved in order for you to be successful as an applicant and employee. You'll also review an overview of the Controllers team, GS' Skillset Recruiting practice, and what they typically look for in applicants. 

       

      Step 4: SUBMIT YOUR RESUME TO HELLOHIVE

      After you review the above sections and have enhanced your resume using our technology and taking into account Goldman's specifications involving their Controllers opportunities - submit your resume to this invite-only posting using your enhanced resume.
