How helloFinance Priority Consideration Works
Priority consideration is the process by which firms consider candidates with enhanced dedicated commitment (in this case, confirmed helloFinance attendance) as priority applicants for opportunities such as internships, jobs, and events. This does not guarantee an internship, interview, or offer from participating firms.
📣 You must complete at least steps 1, 2, AND 4 below to be eligible for priority consideration:

✅ REQUIRED! - Step 1: Complete All Attendance Check-Ins
Once you complete this, you'll receive an email with a certificate of completion to share on social media! You can view asynchronous check-ins here.
✅ REQUIRED! - Step 2: Add helloFinance to Your Resume
When you apply to opportunities from any of the 27 participating firms, you will automatically receive priority consideration by having this program on your resume!
Here is the recommended language for resumes.
💡 The program must be on the resume you apply with for priority consideration!
OPTIONAL - Step 3: Complete 5 Firms Form
Use this form to submit your 5 firm selections and write an interest statement for each. This helps provide enhanced visibility with your select firms! The deadline to complete this is Thursday. August 31, 2023 at 11:55 pm ET.

*Remember: your priority consideration submission does not act as a specific application to opportunities! You still need to apply to be considered for a specific position.

Q; How does priority consideration work?
A: Priority consideration is the process by which firms consider candidates with enhanced dedicated commitment (in this case, confirmed helloFinance attendance) as priority applicants for opportunities such as internships, jobs, and events. This does not guarantee an internship, interview, or offer from participating firms.
Q: What is the deadline to submit the 5 firms form?
A: The deadline is 11:55 pm ET on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Q: Will other firms know which firms I select in my top 5?
A: Nope. Each firm will only receive your resume and the interest statement you wrote for that specific firm. Each firm will also not know the position you put them in your top 5 ranking, just that they were in your top 5. Other firms will also not be able to see the other interest statements you submit.
Q: Does it hurt my chances to apply to an EQC/helloFinance firm I did not put in my top 5?
A: Nope. Having the profile on your resume will provide priority consideration eligibility for that helloFinance firm, even if you didn't list them in your top 5.
Q: What is the deadline to submit my resume for my top 5 firm choices?
A: This deadline passed on August 13, 2023. If you had an extenuating circumstance that made it challenging for you to submit your resume, email us at info@hellohive.com for assistance.
Q: What happens if I revised my resume between when I submitted it on the Hive platform and now?
A: No worries; you can resubmit here when you enter your 5 firm statements.
Q: What should I write in my interest statements?
A: Think of these like mini cover letters or "why company" statements. This should represent why this specific firm is of interest to you, why you're a fit, and how it suits your long-term career goals.
You can describe a specific department, function, or role you're pursuing at the selected firm in this statement, but it is not required. You are also welcome to mention previous engagements you've had with this firm or recruiters, if applicable.
💡 Tip: Emphasize what makes this specific firm uniquely interesting to you, such as:
- a piece of info about the firm you learned during the program
- something about the culture or values
- a unique feature of the specific role you're interested in
- an individual you felt connected to during helloFinance
Q: Do I still need to apply to positions (internships, jobs, events) at the 27 participating helloFinance firms?
A: YES! Priority consideration is a part of your fulsome application to a participating firm and your Top 5 interest statement provides enhanced visibility to your top 5 firms, but does not stand in for an application to internships and roles!
