Creating & Using Experiences with Hive's Patented Resume Tech

Here's how to toggle experiences and bullet points on & off so you never have to remove items again, as well as an example of using "Buzzwords" when applying to positions.

How to navigate to the "experiences" section and toggle experiences on and off:

Using the Line Counter: As you create your resume for the first time, or for specific applications in and out of Hive, you want to do your best to fulfill all available lines. If you need to create more lines to use for more experiences, you can go into your Education or Skills & Interests sections from your digital profile to turn off or remove items in those areas.

Adding Experiences & Required Bullets: When adding experiences to your Hive profile, for each experience you'd like to have visible on your resume (toggle left to right by the experience's name, you need to have a minimum number of bullets/lines turned on (green circle on the left of each bullet point) before you can move forward.

  • Current or past work experiences require 3 bullet points
In the below example, you'll see that I used the chain-link option to combine 2 lines into 1 bullet point, allowing me to have twice as many characters for the bullet point so that I can add more details about my position and responsibilities.

  • Future work experiences require 1 bullet point.

  • Leadership/Other Activity experiences require 1 bullet point each.
In this example, I am only using one bullet out of 3 bullets and a total of  5 lines that I have saved to my profile.

Applying to Positions & Using Buzzwords: When applying to roles, in addition to having your bullet points turned on for the experiences you'd like to use, you also will select 4-7 "buzzwords" in the application flow - noting which bullet points you think are most applicable for the role.
