Filters and Saved Dashboards

Use the filters on the right to sort opportunities by most recent and most relevant, type, industry verticals, job functions, company, and location.

Use the search bar on top to search for keywords in the opportunity title and/or company name.

To access your personalized dashboards that are matched to your interests, culture keywords, saved opportunities, companies you follow, or opportunities to which you've applied, select from the choices at the top of the dashboard.

Opportunity Detail

To learn more about an opportunity, click on the opportunity. Each opportunity has three tabs: details, qualifications, and company. On the details page, you can learn the basic information about the role. The qualifications tab includes information such as whether the role is open to recent graduates or current college students, computer or technical skills, and additional preferred qualifications. On the company page, you can learn about the company, culture, people, recent press, and how to succeed at the organization.

Not sure why you aren't qualified for an opportunity? Check out this article for common reasons why you might not be able to apply to an opportunity.

If you're not ready to apply to the opportunity and want to save it for later, click the save icon on the top right corner of the opportunity.

Applying to Opportunities

Once you see an opportunity you want to apply to, follow the application checklist on the opportunity page.

Employers choose which parts of the application they want HIVE applicants to complete, so each application may be slightly different.

Location

If an opportunity has more than one location, you'll be prompted to select the location where you would like to work.

Profile Picture

Next, you may need to review your profile picture. You can apply without a profile picture if you choose - it's completely optional to submit your profile picture.

Diversity

Next, you'll review the diversities you've included in your profile and choose whether you'd like to share these with the employer.

Coursework

Please review the courses you'd like to show on your resume and profile.

Bullets & Buzzwords

Buzzwords are tools to highlight the key bullet points on your resume. You need to have at least 4 buzzwords on your resume. The maximum amount of buzzwords is 8 so choose wisely! To make a bullet a buzzword, click the bee toggle so that the container changes to yellow.

Why Company

Often, companies require a statement about why you want to work for this company, while others make this step optional. To add a Why Company statement, enter 200-400 characters demonstrating your interest in the role and the company.

Extras

Some opportunities require a link to your online portfolio and/or a link to your transcript. You can select from a link you've already added to your profile, or you can add a new URL.
