helloFinance 2024 Attendance FAQs

This article will review the attendance criteria for helloFinance 2024 for priority consideration eligibility

Q: What is considered event attendance?

A:  All individual program registrants must attend all 6 nights of the program and submit check-in forms for all 6 nights.  A maximum of 2 of 6 nights can be attended asynchronously. Asynchronous night attendance requires watching the event recording and completing the asynchronous check-in form.  *You do not need to request your 2 nights; Hive will have all forms on file!  Unless you are an approved asynchronous attendee (see below), these attendance requirements apply to all attendees.

Q: What do I get as an attendee?

A: Attendees receive 3 key benefits:

  1. Priority consideration from participating forms for future applications! Learn more about priority consideration here.
  2. You will also receive a certificate of completion, a credential you can share on social media and add to your LinkedIn profile!
  3. Finally, you can list this program on your resume as an experience! This is an amazing way to boost your experiences if you're earlier in your college career. Hive will circulate the language and steps to add this to your Hive resume post-event.

Q: When are check-in forms circulated?

A: There is 1 check-in link per night. This form is sent out live during the event in the chat or screenshared with a QR code! The link and the QR code direct you to the same form, and you can complete check-in either way.

Q: What if I missed the check-in form but attended live?

A:  It is an attendee's responsibility to complete the check-in forms live each night. This is crucial for logging your event attendance and gaining prioritized consideration.

If you had an extenuating circumstance that prevented you from filling out the form live (WiFi, illness, other), please email us at info@hellohive.com, outline the time you attended and something you learned from a panelist during the time you attended, and we can help.

Q: How do I attend a single night asynchronously?

A: After the night is completed, the recording and asynchronous check-in form will be circulated via email and on the general "helloFinance 2024 Info" page for this program.

Q: Can I attend the entire program asynchronously?

A: Yes - we make exceptions for live attendance for individuals with extenuating circumstances (time zone, work commitment, or similar). Request 100% asynchronous event attendance approval here. Other circumstances not impacting daily availability (singular plans, events, or similar) should be utilized as single asynchronous attendance (see question 1 above).

Q: Will I receive a confirmation email when I submit the check-in form?

A: No, you will see a confirmation web page that says, "Thanks so much for checking in - your attendance has been collected! **This is your confirmation the form has been submitted**"

Q: What if my check-in form doesn't load?

A: If the form page does not load or has an error be sure to refresh/re-open the form link. If the issue persists, please try a different browser or clear your browser cache and try again. See details on how to clear your browser cache here

Q: What email should I use to fill out the check-in form?

A: Please use the email that you entered when registering for the hellofinance2024 event. This will prevent your check-in form from getting lost in translation and creating a duplicate record in our system.  If you're a Hive user and undergraduate student, this is most often your .edu email!

Q: Can I get a recording of the event?

A: Yes, if you are a registered attendee for helloFinance 2024, you will receive an email the day after each event night with the recording from the previous night. For example, if you attend Night 1 live on Zoom, you will get the recording of Night 1 the following day via email.  You can also view past recordings here:

Q: Can I get contact information for each panelist?

A: We confirm with panelists after their sessions what information they want to be shared with event attendees (LinkedIn, email, or other). Any approved contact info will be added to the Event Info page (same as the page above with recordings) here.

Q: Who can I reach out to if I have questions?

A: Email the Hive team at any time at info@hellohive.com!
